I bought a few beers from the Lizard Brewery to try. Frenchman’s Creek is the first of the four and is quite a nice bitter. It is on the high side in terms of IBU but it’s not harsh.

Fuggles is a wonderful hop, try the 5 points bitter recipe with Fuggles as the single hop.
As for Kveik it’s horses for courses, I’ve only used Voss and then in an AAA twice and the beer was good. I don’t think it would work in Lagers.
Agree!!!!! and cheap to make!!!!

I do like fuggles but it's very dirty for me, I can do one pint but then need to move on. Could you link the 5 point bitter? I always like looking at bitter recipes.

As it happens this was the best. They had a smoked beer that had way too much smoke, and a bitter and golden ale that were bitter and not very hoppy.

Followed by a nice Imperial Stout from Beak and now a 5am from Verdant.

The other night I tried one of the Burton Bridge Brewery - Summer Ale's that I had brewed. It had only been standing for 2 weeks, but temptation got the better of me as I have been really looking forward to both brewing and trying this one. I thought I may have lost it when fermenting, but when it came to bottling it was tasting OK, so I went for it. Wow it did not disappoint at all. It was only two weeks inb the bottle but wow it was tasting very nice indeed. I will give it a bit longer but if the second bottle is as nice as the first one, I will be making more of that for sure. I think it may need me to try a few more kits in the range, may be next the bitter.

I've been down to Devon and Cornwall lots of times..probably 30+,but mainly Devon.
You need a tshirt with Hazelwood Brewery on it so those in the know don't miss you...it would be a travesty!! Just like if I went on my Christmas jolly to York and missed Mrs Knackers in Brew York.
