Garage light is currently kaput, so definitely wouldn't make it from bottom of garden to house in the dark without an accident !Wife ?? I would have used a tray.
Make him suffer.
Yeah...you should only tip it if its got mushrooms growing on it.He's not suffering believe me - he loves his beer whatever it tastes like lol
By the way, we've diagnosed butter and not corn we think.
Ironically it's the first time he's done a D rest and it's the first time he's had the buttery taste. Go figure lol
Dunno what all the fuss is about...my pilsner is better.Wrexham Lager; living the high life there, Clint! Happy birthday!
In that case ferment a little longer and maybe a little warmer. If you want to ferment cool to minimise esters, you can raise the fermentation temperature a few degrees just for the last 2-3 days. He's not suffering believe me - he loves his beer whatever it tastes like lol

Or put a cherry and a wafer in it and call in knickerbocker gloryNo, that was using a control-flow tap and a fairly slow pour. This beer would be more at home at a foam-party! I might see if I can tame it with a longer length of beer line tomorrow.
Sounds like hard work but someones got to do it happy birthday Clint have a good in fellaAlso had a box from Honest Brew off Mrs Clint full of hoppy ipa and a bag with some others in plus I suspect my mate will rock up tomorrow night when he smells the curry, with more beers for me.
I have sent a few out for reviews. So explain “raw” beers. Ie no boil no chill and them coming out ok (never did one but I know a man who has)
My words exactlyOooo! A challenge!
It’s the heat that produces the DMS so if you don’t heat the wort…
Mind you, raw, why would you?
Yeah, I like several of the beers from SaltAnother good one this has more up front bitterness and a decent mouthfeel. Very very good. View attachment 64092
Is the diacetyl getting worse or is the first pint worse than subsequent pints?Jim has a pint of my citra-simcoe IPA.
I have changed my mind about the oxidisation now it’s daylight. However the diacetyl is overpowering and it’s quite unpleasant. He’s not bothered though!
Lesson learned - do a thorough D rest next time!
