Wrexham Lager; living the high life there, Clint! Happy birthday! :D

He's not suffering believe me - he loves his beer whatever it tastes like lol

By the way, we've diagnosed butter and not corn we think.

Ironically it's the first time he's done a D rest and it's the first time he's had the buttery taste. Go figure lol
Yeah...you should only tip it if its got mushrooms growing on it.

This one is an absolute belter.
thick and creamy. No bitterness at all but loads of tropical fruit

In that case ferment a little longer and maybe a little warmer. If you want to ferment cool to minimise esters, you can raise the fermentation temperature a few degrees just for the last 2-3 days.

Also had a box from Honest Brew off Mrs Clint full of hoppy ipa and a bag with some others in plus I suspect my mate will rock up tomorrow night when he smells the curry, with more beers for me.
Sounds like hard work but someones got to do it 😜 happy birthday Clint have a good in fella 👍😜

Jim has a pint of my citra-simcoe IPA.

I have changed my mind about the oxidisation now it’s daylight. However the diacetyl is overpowering and it’s quite unpleasant. He’s not bothered though!

Lesson learned - do a thorough D rest next time!

Is the diacetyl getting worse or is the first pint worse than subsequent pints?
