Went for a pint of stout but something is badly wrong with the tap as I’m getting a glass of foam and can hear it gurgling away. Some maintenance needed there in the morning.
so having a pint of the citra and simcoe pale that I swore I was going to leave for a few weeks to properly condition 🙄View attachment 63741

I was gonna transfer mine to the 'keg' today, but I made a boo boo with it. I forgot to check the pressure level, so when I put the spunding valve on, the yeast exploded turning it cloudy again! A wasted week of waiting for it to drop!

I know the feeling. I Kegged a citra, centennial, Chinook one last night and couldn't resist having a glass tonight. Tastes good at the minute and think it will be a winner when carbed up

Your a wee bit quicker on it than me. Mine is kegged and carbed a week or more now

Time to try the latest version of my SMaSHmere IPA and pleased to say it's okay and Cashmere is definitely my favourite hop type.

I had a similar experience last night kegging my IPA. I had cold crashed and had cleaned, sanitised and purged keg with co2 and pressurised. I had the fermenter up on a table. I connected the transfer tube to fermenter tap and then to liquid post on corny. I connected the gas post via tubing back into the fermenter. I opened the tap on fermenter and connected the gas disconnect and a massive rush of co2 made its way up the liquid transfer tube and vigorously bubbled the beer in the fermenter distrurbing some sediment before the transfer started. At that point I just cracked on and got it into the keg, but lesson learnt as I have a stout to keg tomorrow.

My 'sort of inspired by original Hobgoblin' recipe - Shagfoal.

Too young to work out if it's any good. It has promise, but seems very bitter. A work in progress.

Having another one just to see... It's growing on me. Needs more time to mature, but it's in fine condition. Tweaking the recipe in my head as I drink....
