Fancied one of my old steam beers after a mate found one in his shed the other night and thought it had really improved. It's certainly a lot smoother, goes down well.

Been slowly preparing for what will be my busiest brew day so far.
There's grain weighed ready for doughing in. Seems like my new and old scales weren't far apart, certainly not on the larger portions.
The water has had a bit of Camden tablet added and various bits of kit are getting cleaned / sanitised.
I also have a tweaked kit that is destined for mini kegs and bottles that is ready for packaging... So my tiny kitchen is looking very full of equipme nt and paraphernalia!
Time for a quick dubbel before an early start!

I hadn't brewed in 6 months so to get back on the Horse gently I brewed this Razorback IPA on Boxing Day. Just chilling here listening to the new album by Thunder & sipping a few. Nice but there's something missing that I can't put my finger on

More last night really but this is one of the last bottles of cinnamon infused TC i made last Oct. And its just about right.
Very slightly naturally sparkling. Nothing but carton juice. Cold tea and white sugar and 3g mangrove jack cider yeast.
Made just 5ltrs.
Came out at 6.7% i recall. Giddy after just 1 bottle.
Going to do another this week. 🙂🍻
Fresh and clear.

Starting tonight with a beer from @Clint, this one is his 3C2 - what it says on the cap 😂

The beer is beautifully carbonated, crystal clear, and golden. A nice head formed, thinned to a light covering and then stayed to the end.

The aroma is really nice, that comforting familiar floral piney aroma from centennial and cascade hops. Absolutely gorgeous.

The flavour matches the smell and is just so moreish, I haven’t put the glass down and it’s already half empty! This beer tastes as good as any commercial offering in the same style and I love it. It’s what Proper Job should taste like.

You’re going to have to share the recipe for this one with me @Clint because one pint is nothing like enough. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would stay on it all night.

Hi hazelwood, just a quick one about the summer breeze recipe, we’re do you get your Vienna malt mate and what variety is it there seems to be a lot of different company’s doing it and from what I’ve seen on here some better than others, what would you recommend , just been looking at some crisp Vienna, any good was from get her brewed..

Not tried Crisp Vienna so not sure about that one. I use BestMalz and got it from THBC - but I buy sacks, last time I bought repackaged Vienna from THBC I received something else.

My Gamma Ray clone, super hazy not like the original. Almost tastes like a Witbeir 🤷‍♂️ I wonder if that’s due to zero fermentation temperature control? As I followed the recipe to the letter.
