Falling off a cliff quality wise...
Back in November I made a strawberry, dark belgian, ale kit. Post fermentation I split it in half and packaged half with the half of the strawberry flavouring and priming sugar In accordance with the instructions.
In the remainder, I replaced the flavouring with cherry vodka and didn't prime since the hydrometer suggested lots of sugar in the sweet tasting vodka. Unfortunately, there was a stabiliser or the sugars were unfermentables, so I ended up with many 330ml bottles of flat beer!
I drank a few, one at a time rather than clean the drains with them. Last weekend I gently decanted the remainder and transfered to a mini keg and set to 12psi. The result is a carbonated and far more drinkable beer. It's also further improved by adding a touch more 'flavouring' to the glass at point of serving!
