@Hazelwood Brewery how long for a doppelbock to condition. I was looking to enter this month competition. That gives it 3 week's.

Yeah, I’d say 6 weeks, possibly longer.

had a surprisingly productive day for some reason. much network config and cabling along with setting up a TV to stream from NAS in the bedroom.
i have duly kept the liquids up however with the recommended gulps per hour met easily.
been quaffing a fair bit of brewdog recently (mostly due to a discount code) but this was a new one to me. think i'd prefer it to be a bit more zesty from the hops but it's not at all bad.

tidiest that desk has been in years also.

Starting tonight with a beer from @Clint, this one is his 3C2 - what it says on the cap

The beer is beautifully carbonated, crystal clear, and golden. A nice head formed, thinned to a light covering and then stayed to the end.

The aroma is really nice, that comforting familiar floral piney aroma from centennial and cascade hops. Absolutely gorgeous.

The flavour matches the smell and is just so moreish, I haven’t put the glass down and it’s already half empty! This beer tastes as good as any commercial offering in the same style and I love it. It’s what Proper Job should taste like.

You’re going to have to share the recipe for this one with me @Clint because one pint is nothing like enough. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would stay on it all night.

One of these next. The first few sips tasted almost perfumed after Clint’s 3C2 (which I prefer actually - I know!) but the perfume is fading a bit half way through.

New to me local brewery - Great Western Brewing - 4% Pale. Nice bitterness and a subtle touch of tropical from a Simcoe dry hop. Pretty good stuff.

Starting tonight with one from the pick and mix box my wife bought me for Christmas. Lovely caramel toffee flavours and tight carbonation on this. Pictured with the mini keg that kicked last night and the new scales bought for tomorrow's brew day. Will have a weigh off with my old balance scales in the morning!

Turns out I can't quite count, but close enough. Usually takes about 6 weeks for a decent wedge of brown malt to settle down, going to have to put this in the cellar and try and forget about it for a bit

70% Golden Promise
10% Brown
8% Black
4% Amber
8% invert
