We decided as there will be fewer nice days now we’d make the most of the glorious weather today and have a picnic at the beach. Unfortunately we picked the wrong time of day!

Never mind, we have a little piece of the beach blown up onto the promenade so we’ve set up on our own private beach.

A picnic involves food and a blanket.

This is actually my second bottle the first I made the mistake of chilling far too much which basically made it rather bland however I noticed it seemed to improve as it warmed up so decided to try a second bottle unchilled.

When I read the recipe it seemed rather like a mild however it is a tad more bitter wee bit of sweetness overall not bad at all. I did use honey as recommended by the recipe however cannot really detect it in The flavour so would probably use sugar if I brewed it again. All in all not a bad drop.

There was lots of food too - sandwiches, salads, pastries, crisps, cheeses, meats, fruit, nuts, ice cream, also gin, tonic, beers, and ice. Damn, no blanket!

I don't have a brewzilla I'm afraid so I don't know for sure but here's the key measurements that may help you:

width of coils: 21.25cm

height of coils when sitting compressed on the floor: 27cm (they stretch out a bit when lifted or when hanging over the edge of a boiler)

distance from top of coils to underside of "hook" that would sit over the edge of the boiler: 14cm

Just in case I wasn't totally clear: all the connectors are extra that I sourced on Ali Express.

Hi H that reminds me of the first time we took our grand daughter to southport a few years ago, those who know will tell you the tide rarely come's all the way in, it did that day

The tide did go out and we managed to have a paddle before we came home. I felt like Neil Armstrong with the only footprints in the sand being mine!

Anyway, tonight’s selection starting with the ESB.

Light, very fresh, slightly sour, subtlest hint of brett. Easy drinking and lots of fun.

At least it tastes as good from the can as it does on draught. Never used the lounge in city airport but they never had Guiness in the international lounge

Started with my AG attempt at Yorkshire Bitter which has not been overwhelming but to be fair it tastes better with age but not as good as it looks!
