Just got back from shopping and brought myself a sandwich for lunch which I was going to have with a pint of Mild. No such luck, this is as far as I got before the keg kicked.

Just broken two rules by starting before six and cracking a new brew after only three weeks in the bottle though only a 330 sampler. A nice light AG

with Challenger and Citra hops and now wishing I'd opened a 500 but it should be even better in a couple of weeks!

This is my chosen selection (don’t worry, I have others). Two of the three I haven’t tried before, Spitfire is an old favourite.

I’m going to start with the “Good old boy”. It’s crystal clear, a dark copper brown, and is actually quite nice with everything in balance. Won’t last long I’m afraid. I got these beers from Sainsbury’s if you want to try any.

Started with a pint of Nelson's bitter...

Followed by a pint of Day Tripper, nice hoppy flavour...

And to finish a pint of Flower Pot bitter..

All this time SWMBO was supping on a half of Day Tripper!
