A session IPA from Beer52 while I wait for the charcoal to light. Got a couple of Tomahawks waiting to go on the kamado in half an hour or so.
Out visiting friends and the best they could offer is a cobra. It’s cold and wet I suppose. View attachment 48265
Unfortunately it’s family. As the saying goes you can choose your friends but you can’t choose your family. The alternative was a can of smithwicks. You need some more friends!

I would normally bring my own but it was unplanned and I’m slightly red from too much sun so the 1 was enough thankfully. You might have to do as I do, “you’re providing the food, let me provide the beer.”
Looks wellMrs is out so time to watch a film and have a couple of beers.
First up is @samale Czech Amber Lager. Really nice , almost has a smokiness to it. It's malty but still got some crisp finish to it. Good level of bitterness. I prefer to my attempt of this style(think I over did the melanodian or Munich as had too much of a raisin flavour). Really good. Cheer mateView attachment 48266
Slow reply sorry (been recovering from a stag do since Saturday) but that's just 10 mins down the road from me.... Nice place when the weather's good but a bit limited for space on a rainy dayA shorter pub day today because we had grandchildren with us. We moved on from the pub where we had lunch to a micro pub in @dan125 and @dave_77 neck of the woods called the 10:50 from Victoria, a tiny place built into the arch of a railway viaduct. Some pics...

Oi!Oi! What's this secret new beer? This seemed appropriate today
Juicy with a strong stone fruit or berry aroma and I like the assertive bitterness.
Very enjoyable after dinner aperitif thanks @Hazelwood Brewery

Did you use any galaxy hotside? It’s actually Summer Breeze V3. Dan is being kind, it didn’t work very well in bottles. It is better from the keg but I suspect I’ve reached my limit without closed transfers. I’m also not entirely sure about Azzaca being the right bedfellow to Galaxy and Citra.
There's lovely!I can safely say the TT Landlord tribute travels well. 5L keg taken to Anglesey to share with friends just to kick off the holiday. Beautiful evening sun here.

Cascade and Citra is a simply lip smacking combo.Super chilled, ridiculously easy drinking American Pale ale - Chinook( bittering) cascade and Citra.
Kegged 10L 2 weeks ago and almost finished with a few bottles conditioning.
Oh well, I have something similar in the fridge to replace it.

Only Magnum went in the boil. Galaxy and Citra (and Azzaca in V3) went in a 74C hopstand and in the dry hop.Did you use any galaxy hotside?
