I barreled this Mangrove Jacks American IPA five days ago so slightly hazey but clearing.
One of the reasons I like IPA's like this is, at least to a philistine like me, they're enjoyable young
and can only improve as they condition.
Had three weeks in fv and another week to dry hop ( Simcoe, Citra and Nelson Sauvin ) then cold crash.

Festival Winter Spiced Ale Kit (6.3%)

I tried some of this back in October, and while, not bad the extra month and a half of conditioning has certainly improved it (kegged 134 days ago in 5L stainless steel mini kegs). The cinnamon is still their but much less pronounced, and overall it’s just smoothed out in to a nice winter beer.
I had that glass for 3 days then I accidentally broke it 🤦

I‘m drinking another glass of my Festival Winter ale, so rather than posting another similar photo here is one of my Summer Breeze tucked up for the night (I’m considering ordering it a hot water bottle too).

As for the beer it remains rather nice I am considering putting a mug of it in the microwave and seeing how It is hot,

Ooh I have to disagree with this bit, I love an Old Tom. Reminds me a little of a dubbel, but without the spice.
Yeah that’s a good description. I was getting a lot of alcohol and not as much malt character as the other ones and was probably being a little too hard on it.

Sours are the one beer I struggle with. The first few mouthfuls are delicious and mouthwatering then I’m done, I don’t enjoy the rest.
This is why I love pubs, where you can get a half or a third, I find them particularly good after a stout or any ‘heavy beer’ as a palate cleanser so to speak.

I wouldn't drink one after the other but as a change they're great! I wouldn't mind making something for the summer but would have to just kettle sour (?) save infecting the brew kit. A nice ice cold sour on a hot day...

I’m not sure I’d want to tie up a keg with a sour. I’ll maybe buy the odd one or pester you to send me one of yours!

Last one for the evening. I found brown bottles of PU and was hoping this wasn’t the diacetyl mess I had in the 6 pack I bought a while back. Happy to report it’s much better, just a hint of corn in there as it finishes. This one is really good, less sweet and more bitter than staropramen.
