A Father's Day present 😁 🍺:beer1:

I know that clear bottles may not be the best method for storing beer, but I have to say that their is something visually quite appealing about how they look. And I assume as long as you store them somewhere dark their is no issues?

I agree - ALL my bottles are clear but as you say, stored in the dark. I like to be able to see the colour and clarity of the contents, and I like to see the sediment so I can stop pouring before it empties into the glass - I think this might be called the withdrawal method? 😂

I'm waiting for my Wherry to condition :laugh8: athumb..
Well it is best after a few years to condition. I almost bought a bottle of Wherry when I saw it in Marks and Spencer just before lockdown out of curiosity but couldn’t bring myself to pay over two ponds for what I suspect is a pretty standard bitter.

I was lucky enough to get a selection from beerhawk today. This is very pleasant

I like some of the beers from beer hawk but my favourites are not yet available because of their reduced range. They’ve had long enough now and need to get that sorted out, don’t they realise how needy I am? 🙏

..a father to his pets ...some people don't/can't have children and treat their dog/cat as such...my Mrs has been grooming dogs 25years+...you wouldn't believe the half of it!

Yeah, imagine the scenario you bollock your dog for something and it barks back at you ' Your not my dad' and you shout back 'Oh yes I am' (think of Eastenders Cat Slater and sister/daughter)

After a cheeky beer run to tesco, got some hazy jane and elvis juice to get through this evening.

Clint i totally belive it, my parents had kennels and cattery.Owned dogs pretty much all my life.....mans best friend...absolutely!!

No. After a few beers mans best friend is either a curry or kebab. The dog doesn’t get a look in.

hmm... I had a single can of elvis juice from my son. Which I think is an emergency Fathers day present because my real present is in the post.. when I sneakily pressed a little it is an xxl so its not beer. ashock1 Not surprised as my Mrs has probably told everyone NOT to buy me beer... she thinks I drink/have enough already (you can never own TOO much beer - WTF!). So thats a double edged sword cos my son knows my favs but others send cats piss. anyways it really matters not cos the mrs is over her parents and i've just finished a Kasteel rouge and up next (in no particlular order) Triple karmeliet, saison dupont, Fake Neipa 2, mc choffe...

Ah yes DOJ... A great defence of owning beer...like I said to the Mrs..I may have over 200 in my shed but it's only like them being on the shelf in Asda..BUT...I don't have to keep going there to pick them up,thus..saving petrol..and the planet..
