This was yesterday, but we're doing it all again tonight anyway.
An unfiltered lager - very tasty, unlike the usual euro lager.
Then a celebratory 2022 Vintage Cava as we're in Madrid for our 50th anniversary of our group meeting at University, Bristol.
At €2.89 from Lidl, we really know how to push the boat out!

On the way back from lunch my wife wanted to pop into Waitrose for a couple of bits to make us a nice bread & butter pudding. I saw bottles of Golden Pride on the shelf so obviously bought some.
I’ve been kegging and brewing beer today. Now it’s time to drink a beer. Best Bitter.
Second pint from a new Keg and it’s not to shabby
I think I might rename this “Nearly a NEIPA” although it is still a little hazy. The flavour is there but because I didn’t put any hops in the keg the aroma isn’t where it needs to be for this style. Still nice though 
We were on Rioja as well later, no photo.
It was Muga Crianza.
Tapas and Manzanilla sherry at lunch in Madrid food market.
Then this evening on to an unfiltered lager before dinner later.
Maybe a glass of Cava in between this and red Rioja with a pizza.

Work paying for a few this evening while I stay over. Need to brew a kolsch again soon, just need to find a substitute for Köln yeast.

Another taste of the cask Pirate Pale. This is getting good now. The beer is nicely clear although not quite crystal clear. The yeastiness has gone, the zesty flavours and a little apricot are coming through, the bitterness is fairly high but not at all harsh, soft mouthfeel, and a long lasting foamy head.

Back home in Oz, and after getting everything stowed away had my second taste of my Pacific Ale.
Simple grain bill 60% pale ale malt, 35% wheat, malt 5% Vienna.
Late Galaxy hop additions. At room temperature so a bit lively Grand Final Saturday so just in time for the barbie.

Staying in the sticks in Lancs for a family get together. Half way for the Glasgow lot. In the Royal Oak Garstang. Fair play to Robinsons for keeping the fabulous woodwork. Wife's Garstang Gold better than my Unicorn!
Tapas lunch in a place with only locals and no other tourists.
I also had a vermouth (red) with fried fish tapas and a tingly spicy and olives cocktail stick thing.
