Well a week ago today I christened my Robobrew. Greg Hughes American IPA. My other choice was his London Bitter. That may have been the better choice as the IPA had a lot of grain for a first brew but it went ok ish and the mash went ok with good wort circulation but feel a recipe with a smaller amount of grain would have been easier. But now been fermenting just over a week and looking and smelling good. Managed to take a few photo's in amongst the sometimes tense procedure

Second brew is another Greg Hughes. London bitter. Thought it looked like a fairly simple one to have a go at and get more to grips with the Robobrew. And it was. The day went smoother than the first. Not all perfect but pleased with how it went. Learning on every brew. Ordered a two Corney Keg kit from Brewkegtap that would have been here in time but thought this beer needed low carbonation, so purchased a plastic barrel. And it seems this was the right decision, early days but quite pleased with it, but I think it could be better, and I think I will use this recipe as a benchmark and repeat it to try and improve it. Added bonus, not too expensive to make at a total ingredient cost of approx £9.85.... I think I have just scraped it in, in time for Xmas drinking. So Merry Xmas everyone.

Hokum Stomp Oatmeal Porter today. AG Kit from the Maltmiller. Bottling this for Christmas.... Smells amazing....

Stumbled across a Hokum Stomp recipe last night and it looked good. Recipe was very similar to the MM version. How did this brew work out?

Looking at the recipe I saw it suggested an FG of 1018 which seems high given it used US05.
