Sorry to resurrect this post but what are the dilution rates for this for sanitation?Just sent them an email, asking for Free iodine levels when diluted, and if it contains any Lanoline and such like . . . appears to be similar to BTF Iodophor though so might be more than suitable
Chemsan doesn’t kill everythingI haven't read the full thread but here's my two penneth, I have used Milton sterelising tablets all the time I have been home brewing, I recently moved to Chemsan and now wouldn't use anything else, it seems expensive but you only use 10ml in 5 litres of water and when usimg a spray bottle to cover all surfaces it's quick and only takes two minutes to sanitise everything, I will not be using anything else.
Videne (and Betadine - same thing) are antiseptics intended for use on skin. Can't really see how it would be that helpful for beer containers and utensils. I would have thought bleach* would be a better option. Open to correction on this.Chemsan doesn’t kill everything
And is not as broad spectrum
I have chemsan and have been using it as well as the previous stellar and starsan but they don’t kill all and especially not if you have an infection which i do and need to deep clean
Hence asking about the original post and dilution rates
