For those who have been able to buy this over the counter, were you able to buy just a single bottle?

I found a chemist who could order it, but would only order me a dozen bottles at a time! I've ordered some from t'internet for the time being, but would be interested to hear, for next time.

Got mine from Boots. Think it was £6.94.
Only odd thing was being questioned as to why I wanted it.

The lady said that it is sometimes used for 'backstreet' purposes ?!? :shock:

Which one to get, the Alcoholic Tincture or the Antiseptic Aqueous Solution?

The datasheet says:

Videne® Antiseptic Solution - An aqueous
antiseptic solution containing 10% w/w
Povidone-Iodine which gives 1% w/w
available iodine.

Videne® Alcoholic Tincture - An alcoholic
solution containing 10% w/w Povidone-Iodine
which gives 1% w/w available iodine.

Sorry to resurect this post but I am about to buy some videne from the local chemist, they say it's antiseptic solution not the stuff used in operating theatres, would the antiseptic solution be the correct one to buy?

Also does this work okay with hard water or not?
