STC-1000X temperature controller

I've just bought 2 of these updated STC-1000 controllers and today set about fitting one to a fridge. The wiring looks dead simple, but I'm getting no output power. Even when the controller indicator light tells me the cooling or the heating is on, there is no power at those terminals, regardless of whether I have the compressor or heater connected or not. I hear a relay click after the cooling/heating lights stop flashing. Same result on both units which sort of indicates it's not a unit fault. Any thoughts? Cheers.

Post how you've connected it up. The live does have be linked across.

Aye, the live link confused me a while,,,,, please show us the wiring diagram? Got one in a sub zero chiller with an added 150w radiator heater and it does all i need. Currently holding 120l of lager @ 10*C It definitely does the job!

Thanks. Terminals 1 and 8 share a common neutral.

Ah, brilliant, thanks! The wiring diagram on that thread is so different to how I interpreted the diagram on the unit. Up and running now, cheers.
