Hello fellow drinkers..
When embarking on a Hb session, sampling various brews do you...
Keep topping up the same glass (me)..
Or..get a fresh glass/wash your glass between beer types?

Depends what I’m switching from/to. I generally bring in 3 or 4 bottles of the same beer to have and keep the same glass. I do sometimes try a single bottle of beer to see if it’s ready then switch over.

On Friday I started with a Czech pale lager and moved onto Vienna Lager. I used the same glass, didn’t bother rinsing it out. If it was the other way around I would rinse. If I was switching from lager to IPA or wheat beer or something I’d change glass.

I can only compare this to if it's my one and only homebrew or something else I've bought but I would rinse every time when changing.

No need for a new glass but if you are going to try and get every impression from a home brew I would rinse it first. - It's 99% water or so isn't it anyway?

Rinse yes, dry no. I found it interesting that in the pubs in Brussels they rinse the inside of the glass with water before pouring your beer.
I found that in Amsterdam as well the first time I went. They rinsed the glass with cold water. Sorted of went against everything I was taught in a bar.

Am I right in thinking they do that to stop the highly carbonated beers from being mainly foam? I was told that about 15 years ago when one of my locals used to do Erdinger on tap.
