If you have a choice buy the Coopers it was my favourite kit beer by far...

They're not bad kits, but you really do have to replace the yeast.
The yeast they supply is a generic ale yeast. It's the same in all the kits. (Morgans rep told me this)
I don't mind swapping out the yeasts as I save the yeast and re use it 3 or 4 times.

I make the Frontier IPA, after Coopers stopped making their IPA.
Although in the UK you can probably get more brands than I can pick up here.
Muntons is probably the only IPA I might be able to get here.

Hi. I've only done the morgan's amber. Not nice at all.

Yeah, I made an Amber Ale and it was awful. I think the can is misleading.
The blurb for the can says it's an English style. So I made it using 04, typically an ale yeast.
I can't be bothered to look it up, but I used EKG or Fuggles hops.
But I'd bought two, as I'd been a bit concerned we were going into lockdown.
So then I followed a recipe on the Morgans website. It said use an American Style yeast.
I must admit it wasn't a bad drop and would make it again.

I had a problem with the Blue Mountains Lager and when I complained the rep from the company offered to meet me for a chat.
He gave me a new lager kit, fermentables & yeast and told me to follow the recipe on the website.
The result was a good lager and I gave a few away. People thought it was alright.
I'm going to be re using the lager yeast he gave me next week. That'll be it's third brew.
I also pointed out to him about the Amber Ale being an English style and the website saying use American yeast.
He agreed, and said there's a few misleading things on homebrew cans out there.

My husband ( from Sydney ) is not impressed with August weather here !
Have got 2 kits of the Morgans Old & yeast from Crossmyloof in Scotland ..
We hope to get one started up soon ..
The Morgans Frontier IPA kit was not too bad , although the yeast was replaced obviously ..
Will try the Coopers Bootmaker in the next order ..

It was 25 C sat in our garden today. The weather is great.... for last day of winter.
Spring tomorrow.

I did the Amber Ale early this year and it went down the sink... sob! Really thought it was infected or summat but I very much doubt it. I saved one bottle and opened it just last week. That too went down the plughole. A Blue Mountain lager was alright ( ie drinkable ), just bland.
