What is the point of the cycle lane, apart from a waste of money
Chippy, that is one of the great benefits of cycling, cycling to the pub . fortunately beerriff, the pilot, the railway inn and even the maerdy are all accessible via cycling paths to me. Mumbales is up a steep hill about 400m off the cycling path so not a good idea to imbibe too much. You can be charged with being drunk in charge of a cycle so whilst no points on a licence there is a law for excess there. In fact my bikes are 50% powered by alcohol, but never on roads if over the legal limit. So you think all cyclists are squeaky clean and all motorists are the devils spawn, are you saying no cyclist has ever cycled having had a beer or two or the day after they have had a joint, they have never broke the speed limit or any rules of the road.
are you forgetting those unsufferable sailors and pilots rippling the water stressing the fish and flying over out homes making unneccesary noise or ruining our view of a clear blue sky with their con(not chem) trails)Yeah but cyclists and lorry drivers are all a bunch of numptys...innit!
I might be wrong but I somehow suspect driving standards would potentially be much worse if registration plates, MOTs, driving licenses, penalty points and fines did not exist, and the authorities had no idea who was driving any given vehicle and no way of finding out either. In an ideal scenario none of these things would be necessary but without them there is a lot of potential for piss taking. And yeah, the justice system needs to grow a pair when people are victimsThe thing is the penalties for illegal driving are too low to have any effect, the risk of a paltry fine for mobile phone use doesn't seem enough of an incentive to some apparently.
Pleading 'Exceptional hardship' gets you off a ban in many cases.
Drivers who are drunk and kill and sometimes the police don't even prosecute. Family of cyclist killed in crash share 'pain of no justice' as case ends
Oops! Yes...burn them!are you forgetting those unsufferable sailors and pilots rippling the water stressing the fish and flying over out homes making unneccesary noise or ruining our view of a clear blue sky with their con(not chem) trails)
It's a cycle lane not a fecking car park, i give upYou picture doesn't illustrate that. It illustrates cars parked illegally, blocking the pavement, and the already narrow road. Cyclists though, eh!

My view, if you are going to have cyclists cars buses lorrys sharing the roads in London you need to keep them apart, some off the footage show's them ignoring crossings running into the back of each other running red lights, no road sense what ever
I think it's fairly obvious what point he is making, what is the point in spending many thousands of pounds on cycle lanes if you don't have enough traffic wardens to keep them clear.I don't think that picture is making the point you think it is. I don't see what connection you are trying to draw between a picture of cars illegally parked, and cycle lanes being a waste of money.
The fire services will be very busy, I wouldn't charge one of those neear my house.Lord help us when electric scooters are legal
Did he encounter a full stop? One is in hospital in a coma..
I doby law you must give cyclists space why is it not both ways? Why are cycles not registered (with identifiers) like motor bikes and scooters? Why do cyclists never do life savers? Why do cyclists rarely stop at red lights? Why do cyclists use the road or pavement when there is a cycle lane? As you have probably guessed I was taken out by a cyclist who was on the pavement when I was making a left turn. At a set of lights, the lights changed I checked over both shoulders started the turn and a bike flew off the pavement clipped my front tyre and down I went. Result? Busted ankle and £1000 worth of damage to the scoot.
Don't get me started on the deliverroo gang on their electric bikes.
Lord help us when electric scooters are legal
But we’re all human…or are we dancer?
