Hi guys, i have 100g of both and not sure what to add them to.?
In my stock i have a coopers ipa,a coopers heritage lager,a muntons gold continental
Pilsner and wait fot it .......... A sainsburys kilner lager or "larger" as they call it.
Im not too sure which kit would go with which hops ?
Any help would be great, Ive done the ipa with cascade(dry hop) and it was good.
Cheers

Not that I know a lot but I would say that Hallertauer are usually for European beers so probably the lagers you have and Amarillo is used a lot in APA's so I would guess the IPA would be best suited.

yes, this! I'd personally use the whole 100g of amarillo, dry hop

I have recently been recommended by my LHBS to use Hallertau hops to add flavour to a lager kit i have just done, it came in a tea bag style. I let it infuse in near boiling water for 20mins then added the liquor to my malt cans etc as per the instructions. HOw ever i find i very strong in flavour and floral to just be careful what youre adding it too!!

Thanks guys, think I will dry hop the IPA with 50g of Amarillo and use the Hallertau on the
lager/pilsner.
I'm sure my favourite brewery (Williams Bros Alloa) use Hallertau in one of their Lager/IPA
Hybrid beers but not sure which.
Cheers

Why not make a lager IPA hybrid with lager malts, yeast and the hallertau and throw a load of Amarillo dry hops in? Whoops just re read that you've already thought of it haha but that's what I'd like to do at some point :D

Rob, Ceaser Augustus is an amazing IPA/lager hybrid.
Pinchy, I should have done that in hindsight although the Coopers IPA with Amarillo and the Kilner lager with Hallertau both turned out pretty well, thanks guys (if your still here )

You can take some wort and boil it with some of either hop to play around with flavour/bittering as well.
