Get that. But normally they say so and the names are a bit closer (more
guess-able)
Midlands = Nottingham
The firm = Windsor
Etc

Or have I missed something with London Ale III?

It does say on the CML website similar to London Ale 111.
I can not see a name that relates too like they normally do

Ah, ok. I had it in my head that clipper was verdant, but you're right, it just says LA3. but verdant is an offshoot of LA3. 🤷‍♂️.

I like their naming, but don't know what "clipper" relates to

Notty/Windsor have been around for so long they're effectively genericised, you can get versions from Muntons etc.

Whereas a) Verdant is the trademark of the brewery and b) it's a new thing, so Lallemand's lawyers will have been all over it.

The fact remains that they don't make their own yeast, and the only sources of dry members of the LA3 family are Lallemand and AEB. So it's going to be one of those two, and Geterbrewed seem to have got the exclusive on AEB for the British market.

I've used clipper a fair bit. It isn't verdant... Verdant takes off with an insane krausen, clipper comparatively subdued. WHC Saturated is my guess.
