Big brew on go. Starting to ferment nicely. Threw an extra litre and half Apple an 1/2 litre water as is 30l fv's. So 26.5 litres. My guess is 5.4 to 5.5 abv. Need to bottle 23l if bitter tomorrow night then another 25l tc going in. I think I can still get plenty ready by xmas at latest new year.

Sounds good 25 Ltrs that's a gd 50 bottles and another 50 in the other one ! U might not see Xmas [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Here's my recipe for a 5.2% cider I'll do soon

for 25L looks like 19.5 apple required (rest tea and water)

Quick one Roddy

Just to see if I'm calculating this properly

19 ltr of AJ (9.6g per 100ml)
100ml syrup ( 64g)

Sugar = 1888

Priming 300 ml syrup (192g)
Total 2080

Do I now divide that by 250 to work out per 100ml ?

I get 8.32g [emoji848][emoji848]

Also from the how to I calculate the SG? To get an estimated ABV

Thanks in advance for your knowledge [emoji23][emoji23]

I get abv of

8.32 / 11.4 x 45 / 7.63

4.3 % ??

got a banging headache, too much hb WOW's last night 😵

well it was my birthday hehe

Haha happy birthday mate [emoji482][emoji482][emoji482]

Lmao what's the 11.4 , 45 and 7.63 I am that total lost but trying to learn how to do it [emoji23]

no sweat

11.4 is the g of sugar per 100ml of tesco aj, 45 is the sg of this juice (1.045), 7.63 is what I divide the sg by to get the abv

so from you 8.32g of sugar per 100ml, that's how I get to the abv

ouch.. my head hurts
