Loving that spread sheet [emoji108]🏼

Ohhh 5.2 [emoji16] now that's where it's at [emoji23][emoji23] tbh am a strongbow drinker so that's the % I like to be at

Loving that. Like the spread sheet care to share?
I don't have 19 litres only 14 so my calcs say 3.5litres of water and tea to same result. Assuming my sugar content is similar
sure thing, I did it at work tho and forgot to copy it up to drive... will do tomorrow 😀

Oh man. I got jealous so popped a bottle I the fridge. Just had it only been bottled Friday night.
Not as clear as yours but carbed up great. The taste is a bit sharp to start with but the flavour is awesome. Copied your recipe exactly. I have just bought some new yeast as I think have you. If that can take the sharpness away I feel this might just be a staple brew.
All things said after the initial sharpness the flavour really is amazing. Will need to do a zero sugar or syrup batch to keep alcohol lower. Simply because I want to drink more.

Hey buddy have you had another check on yours , I've had a gander threw my bottles and mine look crystal clear [emoji2] total sense of satisfaction. I've gave one to my brother to try and get back to me see what his opinion is [emoji6] I'm defo going to up the production once I'm home to a 25L batch

Yeah I can't resist them. They are a bit harsh first mouthful but I get my new sweetener yeast tomorrow so 20 ltr batch going on. Gonna as 20% water though to reduce abv. 8%+ is s bit to high for session beer and I love the taste.

Mine still aren't as clear as yours. But only bottled a few days. At this rate they won't clear [emoji12]

Gdgd I've held back I go back to work in a few days so staying clear [emoji23] wee treat for when in back home I suppose

My plan is a exact same recipe up to 25l( need roddys advice in tho tho [emoji23] am guessing everything apart from the yeast gets multiplied buy 5 and just use a full packet of yeast ? )

And then make a small Dj recipe using farmfoods juice ( lower in sugar content)
And add 50ml raspberry/blackcurrant in for first fermentation the batch prime with 50ml for fizz hoping for about 5.4 FG

Yeah it's straight multiplier except yeast.
I'm going to add syrup to main recipe as I feel it adds flavour but then water a little to reduce abv but give me more bottles. The new yeast should make less sharp but that's all that needs changing. Great pint.

Just re read your post I think the recipe was 5l so only multiply by 2.5

Mine looked cloudy at bottling but carbed up lovely and all but clear (and drunk) in 5days. Seriously need to buy enough Apple juice to fill all 4 of my fv's to get a stock. Don't see me stopping drinking for a good while. At least if I can make it fast enough.
Very hopeful that adding 25% water will reduce abv and indeed costs.
25l is about £9 in Apple juice and say £2 in yeast etc so £11 for 44 pints exactly £0.25 a pint.
Forgot to factor in rasp syrup so add another £0.50 shot me. £0.26 a pint.

I also followed this recipe (1 gal DJ)... Just about to prime with 65ml syrup as recommended by roddy. I was wondering is Canderel fermentable? Bought some today and wondered if I could put a few teaspoons in batch prime or whether this would be too much with syrup (6g per 500ml)?

Cheers all

The syrup priming would be fine to mate that's what I used and the where fizzy fizzy [emoji108]🏼

Mine too better fizz than Apple one I made with just sugar same quantity sugar wise. I would add a bit canderel as I found mine a bit harsh and will add sweetness I would go maybe half teaspoon per pint approx

Exactly [emoji108]🏼

I primed my festive cider with 500ml of AJ and that was a cracking fizz to , I sweetened that with 1& 1/2 tsp of candarel per bottle n worked a treat for me

Yeh was sweet tbh I was aiming for sweet as its cinnamon and ginger if I was to pick a favourite it would be the raspberry one tho

Hey Roddy is there any chance you could email that spreadsheet to me I can see to access it on g/drive
