HI All,
Has anyone brewed the golden summer beer recipe from the home-brew handbook (Dave law and Beshlie Grimes)? Im thinking of brewing it this weekend but the original gravity and final % seems off to me? The original gravity is 1073 and final is 1010 giving a %of only 4.5%. Surely an original gravity that high would result in a beer much stronger than 4.5%. Ill also be using Mangrove Jacks Belgian Abbey M47 Yeast.
Any help would be appreciated

Wozzers, that sounds right of target. Most, if not all of my beers are between 3.8 & 5.8 and I've never gotten anywhere close to 1.073. I guess that would come out at plus 8% I don't have the book, but I'd like to take a peep at the recipe.

There are some good recipes in the book but some do need to be re-jigged a bit but this just seemed a bit wrong!
