Err chaps - electric cars?
Exactly.
You have all had your say about politicians and tax etc lets get back to discussing BEV.
<SNIP> If you missed my earlier request fair enough if you didn't you wasted a few minutes posting the bit i have removed - Admin.
Anyway back to BEV's, the latest news is that Porsche are investing heavily in ICE engine development. So it seems to me to be a perfectly sensible future solution to have a broad mix of different car and vehicle power plants where it might be the case that the majority of people stick with ICE, possibly in the future on fully synthetic fuels, again an area that Porsche is heavily investing in, and the remaining with BEV's and some form of Hybrid tech. I think Hydrogen has some advantages in pretty niche commercial and industrial applications, but really don't see it taking off for cars.
Just wish the governement would butt out and let the market decide what cars they want to drive. If EV's are so great and those EV evangelists are always harping on about them the market will flock to them just as they always flock to technologies that offer genuine benefits. Don't get me wrong, as an EV driver there is alot to like about them if your personal circumstances suit - for alot of people they don't. And if they don't offer benefits then all the more reason for the government to stop pushing us onto them especially since there is so much more to come from ICE engines in terms of emissions and efficiency improvements. It's the government interference and coercion that I object to.
