just wondering who else on here is into it? whether its 2D imaging or 3D

i'm currently saving up for a Wacom 21UX to further my 2D drawing/painting and also so i can sculpt in 3D using Blender and couple of other 3d apps.

cant get enough of Art Rage atm. you really need a tablet for it as it senses pen pressure and angle, but you can get some nice looks with a mouse too you can even see your brush strokes :D. the basic version is free ;)

Thats quite interesting BS. I am currently too busy to play proper but i can see it adding to my Photoshop stuff. If i can get it to do that. Thanks for the link. :D

A badger aye? I've heard there mean as when it comes to art.

I'm going to be doing a motorbike ride around the England, Scotland & Wales in 2010 for Cancer research and I'm looking for someone to do a logo for me for the web sites.
Long Way Home 2010. Maybe with a picture of our great country in it. Anyone able to help?

I know a place you can get one professionally designed for about 50 quid - I've used them and was thoroughly impressed...

Russt thats a cause that is close to my own heart ;) as i'm sure it will be for many of our members.

I hope you get some help with the logo, but here at THBF we are happy to do what we can to help you raise some wonga! If you set up one of those online donation sites we'll do you a clicky ;)

It might even be on the new banner Shhhhh... am i allowed to talk about that yet :?

Had chance to work a bit more on my pilot CGI today

added a car, tweaked a few materials, but most importantly i tinkered a bit with it in GIMP. i noticed the photos of a recent site visit was on a bright and sunny day like in this image, and everything that was light in colour had a "glow" in the lense... kind of like the "bloom" effect in the latest games... so i tinkered with the glow effect in GIMP, and adjust the levels a bit to get a slightly over exposed look... oh and i also adjusted the camera angle a bit so the perspective wasn't as noticeable, but still there for that little bit of realism ;)

here's the before:

and here's the after:

what do you guys think?

It's very good, i'm sorry I can't offer any expert advice other than, it looks better now you've mowed the lawn :thumb:

funny that, cos i didn't touch the particle settings for the lawn

It does look shorter though, doesn't it :? or it it just me :hmm:

sorry tell a lie, i changed the density of the grass particles, but not the length of them to free up some ram for the render... perhaps a lower density gives the illusion it's not as overgrown :hmm:
