the court does not wish to intrude on the good running of this establishment so we will retire to the bar and proceed with the evidence in a more relaxed environment. Sheriff to make sure all facilities are available and get the first round in... I'll bring the hat.
er just in the event the case is proved.

Oh it will be and we have Elizium (dead but dreaming) Elderberry stout in tonight ready for the pagan festivities.

Stone him, then give him a trial, then stone him some more, JD, 'orrible stuff, the only excuse for drinking that is yoof.

Does the accused offer the mitigation of yoof?

the drinking of American Whiskey is an offence in itself no matter what court its heard in.
Whisky is whisky no substitute..they can call it Bourbon if they want no problem...but it ain't a whisky...

It is if it's Irish!

I could be putting myself in line for being the first one to be cast at, but there are one or two half decent Irish Whiskeys :)

Not on a par with an Islay, or a Speyside, but acceptable in duress :)

but should a Scotsman drink Irish ?

The Scots I've met would drink damn near anything, even Budwieser  at a push, so I'll vote yes for them drinking Irish Whiskey.

I spent 3 nights in a Hotel in Stratford on Avon (long story, boring, don't ask) with two Scots who were Engineers in a Distillery, my liver hasn't fully recovered even after 12 years :D

A scotsman Should certainly not drink a B$rbon your Honour. They have a fine tradition to up hold.

However in my years north of ta border I did notice that a lot of their Kin folk would drink Vodka and Irn Bru. Now there is a Celtic communist conspiracy like no other.

They are prone to eating and drinking abominations even though they have one of the worlds finest natural larders.

that's true and I will no doubt bear it in mind when I sentance..... :D

Scotsmen have little taste

Some Scotsmen have little taste

Edited for accuracy, the ones around Speyside and Islay seem to have excellent taste, one or two highland areas do OK as well :D

I think it's just the Glaswegies and Edinburigies that lack in taste, but cities can do that to a body :(
