My new table I just made
Also my first test run off gas ring and kettle

Right it's up to 60c
Do you think it will drop much

Depends on what's underneath the blanket. I'm guessing your gas firing so it's got to be steel. It looks wrapped nicely. Might be ok. 60 is too low however. A good body beer is more at the 68 degree. A dry beer, is at 63 to say 65.

The Table looks like a park bench am i right in thinking so

Ah ah no it's to chairs with the backs cut off
2 by 4 screwed on then l routed out holes for the gas ring legs see photo
I know 60 is to low it's a test run lol, 60 just a nice round number
Beer with peaple I'am drinking home brew, the suns out a bbq is lit

I like it! enjoy your day while the sun is out

Thanks
I'am thinking of getting some of that silver insulation stuff
And making a unturned bucket type of thing
Opinions please, remember I'am a AG virgin
So still to learn to suck eggs

If you're going to use it as a mash tun you'll really have to watch it. I would just use your setup as the HLT and boil kettle. Then go out and buy a cooler box and use that as a mash tun. You'll get way more efficiency and a ton less headaches.

Assume you are testing with just water in it at the moment? Bear in mind that mash with grains in will hold that heat a lot better over the hour so losses shouldn't be as bad. Agree with JB though knock up a coolbox mash tun if you can
