Pressure and Temperature are related. Definitely can brew largers quicker at least. Carbonate in fermenter and use as unitank. I use co2 pressure to purge kegs too as it is free co2. Total closed transfer process if that is what anyone wants to do
 
I have a metal fermentation vessel which has a space for another open/close valve where I plug in the airlock. If I make the vessel air tight, is this pressure fermenting?

Is it likely to blow up? I guess I could get a blow off valve fitted instead of sealing everything.

But what is that relationship? how do you choose a corresponding temperature for a given pressure or visa versa? I'd have expected a calculator or something to be around somewhere just like with all other aspects of brewing but so far I've not found one. If you choose the incorrect pressure temp relationship then you're going to be over stressing the yeast.
