    Charges Be brought

A well trained other harf   There are only certain comments in your thread that I feel the need to respond to .. others I deem to be just typical sexist (and small minded) responses of a man who does not know his place in the big scheme of things   Oh, but I was...

    Charges Be brought

I would happily have you investigate any action that you deem necessary, because I would ask the court to consider ... how would you now know a good and decent pint, if you have not tasted one that falls below the par ... .........plus I would argue that a man who chastises any SWIMBO who...

    A Punch required...

I've made a few over the years, and can't honestly say I have a tried and trusted recipe that works as I just tend to chuck in whatever is lying around (although the base is always a rose or medium white, dry cider and lemonade to give it a good fizz!). The last one I used my homemade grapefruit...

    Ribena wine

Hi, Sorry I've only made it with the blackcurrant one (and not the low sugar version) which turned out OK. I thought about using the Cranberry variety, but decided to stick with what works.

    Elderflowers?????

Same in Manchester - they finished flowering a few weeks ago and berries have just set but not changed colour yet. I always pick them in full sun and when they are white, but I only pick the fragrant sweet smelling ones. Maybe me but I think the ones that smell like cat wee (and you can tell...

    wanting an applewine recipe.

Hi Simon I've made apple wine following a similar recipe to above, the only thing that I found was that you needed to use pure apple juice (make sure its not watered down or has anything extra added eg sugar/sweetners) I found I got better results that way although I'm sure you can use non-pure...

    I've been meaning to ask,

Hi Ange, I do the same as Moley. Some of mine have been stuck solid for ages that I've given up trying to them them out, but as long as they are fully sterilised before use you should be fine. I've not had any real problems. Good Luck !

What are the best fruits for a rumpot?

Thanks everyone.. it's given me my confidence back that its OK to have mush  (It just doesn't look that nice!). Got to admit I hadn't really thought about using dried fruit. Wasp - I like the idea of cherries and rum, sound lovely ... but as they're my favourite fruit I'm not sure they'd...

What are the best fruits for a rumpot?

Last year I followed the recipe for my rumpot from CJ Berry's First steps in winemaking but things didn't go to well as the strawberries turned to mush and I put peaches in that also did the same. (The rum tastes nice! but I'm not sure about the fruit) I'm hoping to do another one this year (as...

    Gooseberry wine advice needed

I've got the same problem - not enough gooseberries for a wine on its own, but loads of white and red currants. Would a mixed batch work ?
