Good time of year to brew lagers whilst the weather is colder if you can control your temperatures? I like to do at least one at this time of year and whilst I control the temperature initially they then go out in the garage to get lagered by the British weather. (I'm assuming you're in the UK)...

Someone suggested a concentrated solution of starsan sprayed on on another thread which I thought was a good idea. I soaked my brewbucket in starsan but not concentrated to proper levels for passivating when I first got it, no problems

It could be that you need a shorter length line with the gun compared to the party tap, that should increase the flow. Who sells the nylon version?

I had to look up what a Pluto gun was, but it looks very much like what malt miller sell as a beer gun and according to one of there videos is an upgrade from a picnic tap. About 2 mins 20 into video can't offer any advice but am interested in how you get on with it.

A beer in the loire, book i received on Christmas day but also had some vouchers for birthday and Christmas so have ordered the yeast book and 5 litre minikeg kit from maltmiller. Also the promise of some money to use on eBay so on the lookout for a beer engine.

Especially with the x 2 penned in, I reckon you have 2 kits.

Me too, had them nearly a year now, didn't think they would last that long when I saw how thin they were. They are stronger than they look .

Just had my first taste of the smashed it, I like it. Nothing exciting maybe but a good English pale ale, also made as per the recipe. The ttp on the other hand, I like it but wouldn't have more than one, don't think I will brew it again but maybe do a less alcoholic beer with the same hop combo...

Different yeast (wlp800) but brulosophy have also experimented with that and it should be fine. I now know how it got switched off, apparently my wife came back from shopping with my daughter and thought that daughter had switched the fridge on, so turned it off when deciding not to use it...

It's one I haven't seen before but enjoyed reading through. Not sure I notice a difference in taste from different glasses but like to serve in an appropriate one just for a sense of occasion.
