Leftover ingredients, what shall i brew?

Looks good, how much carafa I would i need to use to substitute it for carafa III? Or could i add some roasted barley for colour?

Coopers Mexican Cerveza OG too low

Theres no need to add anything else, for whatever reason you just havnt got an accurate reading, if you have added 1kg of brewing sugar then theres plenty in there, it will turn out around 4-4.5% i would imagine maybe a little more as you brewed it short.

Leftover ingredients, what shall i brew?

Havnt got any hops, black ipa sounds good. The grains are left over mainly from a stout and a schwartzbier and ive just done a stout mashkit so would rather not do a stout again yet, unless it was a weird and wonderful brew or something that needs a heap of ageing.

    First ever Brew day!!

Why were you aiming for 19l? Its a 23l kit so thats quite a bit short, i definately wouldnt have panicked with 21l and taking 2l out after mixing will have done nothing but waste beer. Having said that you wont have ruined anything, you will end up with a decent beer and youll have an idea of...

Can't decide - Now decided - Maxi BIAB help required now...

That how i did maxi biab, i used a 19l pot usually with 4-5k grainbills so mashed with around 14l of water. For the sparge i would stick the grainbag in a fv flatten it out a bit and pour a kettle of water over it slowly then drain it and add to pot. I did that with 3 kettles of water or until i...

10 litre pot is the minimum required, the more volume you can boil the better.

    Brewday, 2nd all grain- Schwarzbier

Took this pic a while back and forgot to post it, all the beer is gone now it was fantastic. Extremely light and clean tasting, a little darker than i was expecting which is probably due to the 2 hour mash. The carbonation was great, enough to kick up some of the delicate hop aroma and give it a...

    AG#6 Guinness clone

Just tested my new boiler with water, takes a while to get going but holds a nice boil. Mash tun is cleaned and ready to go all checked for leaks, sausage casserole in the slow cooker so i dont have to think about cooking while im brewing, this might be my most organised brewday yet!
