Hello all,

Today I mixed up my 3rd brew, a Coopers Dark Ale, first ale I've decided to do. Decided to mix things up a little bit and I shall post my receipe below for you all to have a look at.

As for the name Piddle Sticks, I'm using that as people at work are trying my beers as I do them and I'm hopefully going to get some labels made up for the brew.

Looks pretty good, be careful brewing to 25l though, even if you are adding more fermentables it can cause your beer to lack body. Most kit brewers brew slightly short.

I'd also brew it a little short ( by a couple of litres ) it will improve the taste considerably.
Coopers Dark Ale makes a fine drink

Unfortunately, I had already mixed it up when I posted but I have duely noted this for next time, At the moment I'm 5 days into the ferment and it's super dark and smells lovely, Once it is kegged and bottled I shall fill in the rest of the recipe.

The brew has finished and I have updated the recipe, I would like to point out that the ABV is the calculation provided with the Coopers tin. Next time I shall brew to 23L as suggested. Will let you know how it turns out.

I just noticed John, we made a slight miscalculation on the volume, we only brewed to 23L not 25L this time.

that should be better then 23l is what the instructions say to do. Sure it will be a good pint

I hope so, I'm bringing 6 bottles to the spring thing for the competition and for people to try.

I got 18L in a keg that I'm leaving for a minium of 4.5 weeks and 10 bottles that I'm leaving for at least 3 months, The Spring Thing bottles will be 4 months.
