Wiring a Fan for a Brew Fridge

Hi,

I am new to the forum and new to homebrewing but thought I would give it a go after reading all the helpful tips on here.

I am currently building a brew fridge and have a 12v computer fan and an old 240v to 12v power cable to circulate the air within my fridge.

When I cut the end off the computer fan I have three wires - black, green and yellow.

When I cut the end off the power cable I have two wires - black and red.

Any ideas which wire goes where?

Black to black and then either red to yellow or red to green, won't harm to try each.

That was my chain of thought but no go having tried all options

I tested my fridge on each shelf and found no need for a fan. It may be worth doing a check on yours.

I decided not to use a fan after having 3 thermometers during a ferment, and all read the same

Thanks for the input all. Turns out I had a faulty fan. Got a new one and works a treat now.
