Just an update on the maiden brew with the new fermenter. Two weeks ago had a brew day and produced 5 gallons or so of wort destined to be a Cascade pale ale...
No dry hop this time. Small steps ....
In the brew fridge for 2 weeks at 19C. Today is sample day before cold crash for 3-4 days at 3C. This is me taking the first sample so was feeling my way a bit. Slight panic when no beer came out, but repositioned the float lower and success.
I leave the balloon connected until after the beer is transferred to a barrel next week.
