I have added two drip trays under the taps now also :thumb:

Nice, good to see you need two fridges, one for beer one for hops and yeast? SWMBO doesn't like it when I keep jars of trub next to the cheese.

That's a tall larder fridge, what's in it besides (I assume) a couple of cornies hooked up to the taps?

Nice setup, motivating me to get my **** in gear here :)

My 10*8 shed arrived today from Tiger Sheds. Rain stopped play today, but with any luck it will be up this weekend, meaning I can plan how I can stack away all the usual shed nonsense and get myself a proper stainless setup in there.

Yes, the one on the left for beer and the one on the right is a fermenting fridge. It has a heater in it and the temperature is controlled by a STC-1000.

At the moment it is rather empty, it has one cornie with a cooker hoop clone in it and a few bottles of champers. I have an old speckled hen fermenting so that will be in there at the weekend. I need to make another shelf for the fridge to put some bottles on. It's good fun making it all. :thumb:

If you need any help / moral support when building the shiny setup give me a shout.

For that matter, if you need any help with the shed give me a shout :D

Thanks, it certainly is compact. It's a concrete shed in our garden but is only about 6ft by 6ft.

Got a pallet load of shed bits delivered today, looks like I've got my weekend planned out! Can't wait to have all my brew mess in one place.

Awesome. What you doing for base/foundation? You got power and water sorted?

K

Got compacted gravel as a base and wikes are delivering some pressure treated bearers tommorw. I've got a hose and extension cable for the essential brewing utilities! Can't wait for my first brew I'm gonna call it "Saison de la Shed" as I'm having a go at a Saison DuPont clone I messed up previously!

My 10*8 shed went up today, and all my usual gear is in there, with the added bonus that there's is bags of room! My shiney gland is tingling.

How is it for head room?

A lot of the sheds I've looked at I'm OK in the centre, but soon run out of head room as I head for the walls :)

If you just want a second boiler for now I'll drop one of the big plastic pots off for you, your current boiler would make a good HLT because it's got the temperature control, two kettle elements and a tap would give you the second boiler.

All you do then is replace each bit with shiny, one at time ;)

BTW, yes, I am a bad influence on people ;) :)

It's fine, I couldn't stand up at the ends of the apex, but I don't actually need to as there will be shelving etc there.

I'm ok for plastic setup I think. Cheers for the offer though. I may well call on your expertise when I start to replace it with shiny. :)

A weekend of good weather in October, who would have guessed? Got both my dad and father inlaw involved in putting up the "brewery". Took a full weekend but now looks sweet. Already filling it with essential junk. Hopefully I will leave enough space for the brewing stuff!
