My least favourite thing about brewing is having a beer run out just when it's really coming into its prime..........Now where did I put that patience that I'm so good on lecturing other people about?

Are you asking can you or do I?

a) Yes. As you can use the party star tap which is essentially force carbing
b)No. I haven't got the PS tap and just use the integral gravity tap. After about 3 days thebeer in the keg gets quite flat but I dont mind that at all. If I did I'd buy a PS tap

Does the Party Star Deluxe carb it as well then? Does that mean no priming? I wasn't sure if the CO2 was just to pump the beer up the tube.

I don't have a party star but from reading others posts my understanding is you do need to initially carb it but whereas after about 3 days the beer will go flat, with the party star you can keep topping up with C02 to keep the beer fresh and carbed

Without a doubt, drinking the last bottle off a good brew
I find it quite traumatic to think I've got none left

I do use bottles but find them time consuming to clean and sterilise , using a large builders trub and an outside tap....
Most of my BIAB brews go Into my King Kegs with a bottom tap. If you are meticulous with maintenance and lube up the tap and cap there should be no issues keeping them carbonated. I also use the Hambleton Bard cylinders but only when the keg is maybe half empty. I reckon I can service four or five KK's for each cylinder. But best of all is the beer tends to be rich and creamy with a lovely tight head, not something I get with bottled beers....
You pays yer money....

Just acquired a King keg for that reason. Top tap with a sparkler. Best way to get them airtight then and not lose fizz?
Put the cap on tightly? I have a top tap KK with a sparkler tap and its certainly
Gas and air tight.just be careful of the positioning of the float as they do tend to flop to one side and then put the beer out into the headspace

How do you stop that then?
I found the correct positioning and put a little nick in the top of the tube where it pushes onto the tap spigot so I know its float up,it doesn't always happen but until I did this I had it happen a few times and had to uncap the barrel to re position it.a bugga especially after its carbed up
