I used my Klarstein Maischfest for the first time to get a porter underway. Have only brewed 5l batches on the stove up to this point, so 15l is a step up. Seemed pretty straightforward, but the proof of the pudding is in the drinking.....
Seemed alot less hassle than the stove method and went pretty well apart from the temperature shooting up at one point in the mash from 67C to 74C for no apparent reason, and the internal thermometer giving a false reading when cooling - at one point, when 2 independent thermometers said 21C, it read 39C (although it did slowly creep down).
Cleaning was pretty easy too, thanks to the white vinegar tip I'd read on this forum somewhere.
