Chinook SMaSH. "Oooh that tastes nice" and then the feeling of a toilet brush from throat to tummy. Not unlike vindaloo. I found 2 bottles in the back of the closet and couldn't quite remember whether I'd put them there to save them for my brother or just forgot about them. Oh well.

SWMBO did The Edinburgh half marathon today so had her first drink in a month by sending me to M&S for a “Dine in” deal. Of course that means picking up a bottle of my favourite Westmalle Dubbel!

Followed it up with 2 bottles of my own Kolsch which is crystal clear and beautiful.

This is my copper ale, had to help myself to a second it went down so well. Its a us04 yeast on crystal and choco malts with cascade hop beer.

No more photos alas...I just broke the lens on my phone and now it won't focus....pile of poop...
Worth noticing in the above photo and a big blurred is a pink echium the Mrs grew from seed 3 years ago...we had a few others but the severe cold killed them even with being covered up..

Still on holiday in Poitiers. And I'm still working my way through a 5l mini keg of Pelforth. But my wife picked this "local" beer up from the local Super U supermarket. And it's very good and has a lovely flavour and smooth finish. Comes in a 75cl bottle and 5.6%. If anyone can translate the back label for us that would be great. But I'll certainly be bringing some home.

Saison tasting tonight (more from the Beerwulf order - can't recommend them highly enough if you're looking to sample some European beers on the cheap).

Brooklyn Brewery's Sorachi Ace up first & it's a beaut. I've got a Sorachi Ace saison on the go in the FV & if I get anywhere near this I'll be happy.

Saison Dupont next which is one of my favourites. Tempting me to try & culture the yeast...

Looks a very nice drink Clint with a very nice head on it. Did it taste as good as it looked in the nice weather?

First one tonight: a Diekirch Grand Cru in a Hoegaarden glass. Not bad. Malty, lightish on the hops. From Belgium, or Germany l think.
Maybe Luxembourg.....??:beer1:
