Newbie here and about to scunder myself forever by admitting to drinking turbo cider with a little tesco fiery ginger beer as sweetener.

Enjoyed the new beers last night so the same again but with an additional free bottle for Wainwright courtesy of the Daily Mirror.

Mrs Tea has taken a liking to the Abbot

Bad day at work.

Had a Coopers Irish Stout when I got home about 7pm.
Just finished my second Morgans Blue Mountains Lager.

First time I've made the Morgans. Not bad, and I've actually just bottled another one at the weekend. That one has cara pils & I added a hop tea at bottling too.

Nothing exciting. Doom bar. My local co-op had short dated 6 packs, I bought them all. 30 bottles to get through. Can't complain for £4.49 for 6.

I'd complain! Doom Bar is garbage.

It's International IPA day, so I've just polished off a can of Beavertown Bloody 'Ell. A blood orange infused IPA. 7.2% and as tropical and juicy as you like. Not a huge orange bomb, but it's not really a fruit beer. It's more of a hint which rounds off the flavour profile. Seriously good beer.

I like Punk IPA but being a tight git i went for the 500ml bottles in the post above, i am glad i did as i actually like them all (apart from the wainwright) equally if not more than the punk IPA.

I ordered the Headliner Mixed Case 12x330ml. Lets see if they are as good as everyone says

I've started on a MK of the Wilco Pilsner with Chillies and it is a weird experience - in a nice sort of way! :thumb:

The drink starts as a normal Pilsner taste with little or no chilli flavour but about fifteen seconds after the first swallow the chilli taste manifests itself as it warms the back of the throat, then the tongue warms up and finally by the end of the pint even the back of my lips know I'm drinking a chilli flavoured beer!

Brilliant! I've often thought that it would be nice to have a beer that could accompany and complement a hot curry and I think I've found it!

I will definitely be making this again come November! :thumb: :thumb:

Just supping a Maui Coconut Porter. Absolutely delicious. Dark, roasted bitterness with a present, but not overpowering, coconut flavour. Some sweet vanilla notes. It all works together really well.

This is a non-critical comment and I may very well be wrong.

When this Thread started last year most of the people seemed to be drinking home-brew ... :thumb: :thumb:

... but nowadays it seems that more of us are drinking commercial beers. :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:

IF I am correct (and I have often been terribly wrong) then may I ask "Why?" :?: :?: :?:

I usually drink homebrew but if in a supermarket and see something like brewdog on offer I will buy it or if I see a beer I haven't tried before I will buy it. Tonight I am drinking Greg Hughes bohemian Pilsner from a keg I opened a few weeks back.

I had no time two brew. Need to bridge the gap.

23l Australian pale ale are in conditioning since Thursday (Coopers Kit) and tomorrow I will step up a gear and start a German Smoke beer (AG).

Can't speak for the others though
