I've not been on here for a while and haven't got much home brew left but found these in aldi

Kasteel rouge followed by my imperial IPA wich looks well dodgy but taste quite nice:thumb:

Had the "Das Swartze" earlier and its not bad but i prefer the Wheat Beer. Mine is so bitter compared to that. Got a bottle of the other one chilling. What do you reckon on it?

They have 5 different ones in my local aldi and they come in flip top bottles so easy to reuse and the beer of all 5 is pretty good

I bottled the Greg Hughes American Wheat beer a week past Sunday, and yesterday it was carbonated. I took all of the bottles up to the shed, bar 1 that I put in the fridge.

Tonight I opened my "sample" bottle because I got a lovely new set of beer glasses as a leaving present from work and was desperate to try the wheat beer glass. It was absolutely phenomenal - the best beer I've made bar none, and it's still super early! I can't wait to try it after a couple of weeks conditioning!

Came off my effin push-bike today. Decided on a Leffe, a Pelforth, and a couple of Wherry's....by way of compensation..

I went to see @lagerlad today for a wee bottle swap and he gave me Greg Hughes milk stout and a Hefeweizen. I think I'll start with the stout so I can try out my new tulip glass (I've already used the wheat beer glass that came in the same set)

Just tried one of each of my all grain brews. Hasselhops porter takes home first prize.

Stop Wittering On is very gushy now, so it's too gassy.

Otterly Awry is good, but needs more time to mature, a further two weeks in an outside shed should do it. It's a week and four days into conditioning so still nowhere near ready.

let the alcohol commence......

we'll wheat again.
king goblin
vital ipa by victory from sainsburys. It's amazing! - it's like a bengali tiger lite, but in a good way. still 6.5% abv though :-)

well impressed.

and to finish off a gulden draak.

My last 3 bottles of Geterbrewed Citra Single Hop.

I'm nowhere near as emotional as I was when I finished my last bottle of steam beer!

Omnipollo Zodiac. Pretty decent.

Your steam beer was a great introduction to steam beers!

Sorry the single citra wasn't as special.

I added 30g of pellet Cascade to the Northern Brown Ale beer that appears in the Greg Hughes book.

It is very green indeed at under 5 weeks from pitching on 21 August.

Very flowery though, quite unlike the same beer without dry hops and 3x the age.

Good evening all , I hope I find you keeping well. I'm having a Wilko Sale night, a Hoppy Copper with Saaz, 6.3%, a Cerveza, polaris hops, 17.10%AA (brutal bit with the lightness of the Cerveza, sublime), 5.8% and a Wheat Beer (last of the Wilko Toucan Wheat beer so it seems) Aurora hops, 6.7%. Started at 6 running through the second roud of them all, might not see the end of it to be honest.

Thanks. It was definitely what I refer to as a "revelation" beer. Never thought I'd beat it although my recent American Wheat Beer might beat it if my early sample is anything to go by!

I think I might try to alter my steam beer recipe at some point.
