I opened a bottle of Spanish red but it wasn't hitting the spot. So it's time to open the mystery beer that @Donegal john gifted Me. This is absolutely fantastic, full on Brett beer. I am guessing a Brett pale ale but could be type of lambic. It's full of aroma and flavour with a tart finish. The Brett is very similar to Orval. Cheers John

After that last banger it's time for one of my own, a pilsner.

Tonight, I was given some beer. However, there is a caveat. It's way out of date.
So it might be rotten.

I've started with a Berliner Weisse that's 6.4% from Elmeleven in Sweden.
Described as "Blackcurrant Berliner Weisse with raw licorice and vanilla"

It's definitely drinkable, not as sour as I was expecting.

Joining @samale in the unlabelled beer. I spoke to the brewer and it’s a lambic style ale aged in Chardonnay barrels and was to be sold but he liked it too much so saved it for friends and I was lucky enough to get a case. It’s a beer that makes you sit up and take stock of what you’re drinking. It tastes nothing like beer that you buy in a shop but it sets your tastebuds alight. Cracker. From a man that takes brewing to another level.

Great to see someone local brewing this style. This and his dragon fruit saison is top quality

This is Steam Brew Session IPA from Lidl. Nice and smooth and could have drained it in 3 with less willpower though

not as hoppy as expected but pleasant nontheless.

Utopian. I had to look up what Franconian means. That aside they have put some smoked malt in, hard no from me it is overpowering.
