This is my next brew, Poe's Boston Bitter. Only fitting E.A.Poe was quoted.

A couple of the trusty Cobblers Bitter (Best) followed by a Cali Common, this beer I am having doubts about, should be clear by now, I will give it a few more days before a decision is made.

Died age 40, (Poe) Brendan Behan age 41. Alcohol related? Brendan's certainly was Poe's is still a mystery.
Brendan famously said, " I only drink on two occasions, when I am thirsty and when I am not"

Dragon Stout, a Home Bargains impulse buy. It's not bad. Quite like it actually. I also like the little bottle, they seem quite robust : ideal for bottling 12% historical keeping ales.

Probably the best thing about it is the bottle!

Brugge is a beautiful city. We went for a day trip when in Brussels last year. Had plenty of zott but didn’t do the tour.

I think I was the one who muddied the waters here.
It was @foxy who quoted E. A. Poe in #828,
and then I posted about it, but as a reply to your 'self musings' comment.
Hence the 'wrong end of stick' confusion that ensued.
Sorry for that.

Forgot I had this (I kegged most of the batch but had just enough for a couple of bottles) bitter made with DME and hopped with Fuggles a nice if not particularly remarkable beer.

I did a German themed Lidl dinner and couldn’t resist his and hers festbiers. Mine is quite good, malty and sweet, I don’t get the chance to drink much German beer.

A cider for the better half and a Patersbier for me, it’s a never ending keg this one.

I brewed this pale ale loosely based on Sierra Nevada recipe, bittered with Northern Brewer and Cascade late in boil and dry hop.
I've also brewed this as an Amber ale which is actually more true to original SNPA although they call it a pale ale.
Either way, both are firm favourites with me.

The very last of this cask of Camden pale ale clone.
And this is the coffee filtered pouring!
Should be very nutritious.
It's laxative effect is yet to be determined.
