Last night I went to watch the Hammers and nipped over to Hackney Wick to Old Street Brewery
Had a very nice Brown Ale 4.5%

Followed it up with a IPA 6.8% not sure what the hops were..it was nice enough though.

Had my last Burnt Mill IPA when I got home, which I think was the best of the box

Various types from various Scottish places, but more importantly....lots of it.

Oooh, love a Laphroaig on the rocks!

Ludicrously lively even if we'll chilled.
Tastes fine though.
The rest of the (Imp.) quart had to go through a coffee filter!

Happy Friday folks. Having a first taste at my latest Irish Red iteration. This was from a bottle but most of the batch is in a Keg. I doubled the roasted malt as my normal recipe was a little flabby on nitro. Now it tastes like an amber stout! I think the nitro version will be grand.

Yes, it's clear but the condition has been removed by the filter.

Guest beer time. I’m having this from @Caramel Ox while I wait for his Impy to warm up. Top marks for the bottle label, my Star Wars obsessed son lost his **** when I showed him the label.
It’s a corker, all chocolaty roast with just a little dark fruit, assertive bitterness, just perfect for a dry stout in my book. Lovely head that lasted the whole pint.
What an entrée, I’m really excited for my main course.

Honey, grass, bit of spice. Malty-dry finish.

Despite the head, it lost a bit of carbonation when I switched from the carb cap to a screw cap, but the kegged version should be good on that front. Will give that another week or two lagering.
