Alcoholic lemonade takes me back. My dad brewed kits back in the 70s and he got me a lemonade kit. Basically it was lemon flavour syrup, sugar, water and yeast. You mixed it and put it in bottles and it fizzed it up whilst producing (I assume) a small amount of alcohol. Very nice as I remember. I also remember we forgot about some bottles for a about a year and when we opened them they foamed themselves empty instantly.

I joined in with SWMOd and had my first (real) Budweiser in a long time, seeing as it's pizza Friday.
The first aroma was a more definite hoppyness than I remember.
I had forgotten how good Budvar Budweiser is.

It is a nice pint.

Half way through brewing an Irish Red and I thought I’d road test the new glassware.

I popped this in the freezer to chill down a tad, and left it a little too long to put it plainly. Still despite the horrid abuse I had put on this innocent beer it’s actually still pretty dam good.

Thankfully unlike my previous beer this is unfrozen. After drinking a lot of hoppy IPA beers lately (both my own and commercial examples) it’s nice to have a change of pace. This beer has a little sweetness but with some bitterness it’s just a good solid beer.
