German case #2. I think this is the only genuine Altbier I've drunk. First time last year. In the meantime I've brewed one and I think my version holds up OK. Definitely a style I'm interested in exploring further - a sort of Cali Common - Dunkel mash up.

Back in God's country. Missed cycling club but got back for the regular pub meet (got cycling trip to plan).
No photos but a pint of purple moose snowdonia ale (since when as it been 3.6% 😉)
Then two pints of Welsh pale ale.

Now back home and went with a Verdant 20w.og my this is special . Citra and strata both hot and cold side. What a combo, strata is the star of the show..

Now vocation make pretty consistent beers that are generally of a good level for supermarkets. Picked this up from Sainsbury's.
It's not drain pour ...tastes like Cherry Drops..not sour...not tart...just cherry drops.
It's a sour for people that don't like sour beer🙄 there you go ...I took one for the team....and I like cherry drops but I won't be buying the again.. I suppose if you like cheap sweet zinfandel rose or fruit ciders it might be up your street.

Yeah I wasn’t impressed with that beer. The name promises far more than the beer delivers.

My bus home this evening started twenty minutes late, then there was an incident somewhere on the A road it travels then road works. Really this is a long winded way of saying I really need a beer, CML St Austell Salute it’s just a nice easy drinking bitter to drink while I wait for the pizza dough I just balled up to rise again and work myself up to light the outside pizza oven. Cheers and happy Friday al.

We met some friends for a pub lunch today. The pub had no cask ales and I didn’t fancy the Neck Oil they had on tap so I instead had a couple of bottles of Gads No.5 which is quite a nice bitter.

We’re also going out shortly for a meal with visiting family - different pub! 🥳

I’ll see all you lovely people later.

Seen this talked about and finally bought it a few weeks ago. Decided tonight was the night to try it.

Awful. Not nice at all. Going to see if it improves when it warms
