Drinking in your shorts...this wind is a little fresh for that in the Kentish landHappy Friday! It’s a glorious afternoon at Chez70. I’ve got a couple guest beers lined up for later, but im wetting my whistle with Belgian Wit. Im really enjoying this brew, it’s a perfect summer sipper.

What part of Spain you in ?The best I've found (SO far) here on Spain- from the Mahou webshop, of all places!! Very refreshing, flavoursome pale, from independent Nomads Brewery!! 12 bottles ain't gonna last long, but I've just kegged my first (kit) brew, MJ's Kviek, and it smells very romising. Give it a few bursts of 40psi and sample later this evening!! Happy Weekend all!!

Dearg, @Alastair70's Irish Red. (I should have put some Horslips on to drink it to).
Thanks, Alastair.
Bottle opens with the always tempting and reassuring hiss.
This has been in the fridge since I received it, but got it out a couple of hours ago to warm slightly.
Colour is beautiful (unlike my camera skills). Looks a dark amber but when you hold it up to the light you get the copper tints coming thorough. Decent head which sustains throughout the glass.
Aroma is predominantly malty, with some toffee coming through at the end. There is a slight mineral note which I can't quite place
Flavour-wise, caramel and toffee are there in abundance. It is a sweet beer, but the bite of bitterness stops it from becoming overly-cloying.
Onto mouthfeel, carbonation is spot on for the style. The sweetness turns dry and refreshing and there is some warming in the jowls from a slight alcohol note
Overall I think this is a good representation of the style, I really enjoyed drinking it and would happily have it again.
