In my Bristol student days it was a staple cask beer, but brewed in their own style by George's Brewery down in the docks. (Courage owned).

Finally managed to find a bottle of German brewed Schwarzbier rather than English brewed versions. Wanted to see how close my attempt is to the real deal.
This is tastes good..little tiny hint of roast on the aroma. Clean , nice bitterness with very mild roast character.

After a bit of digging down the plot I feel the need for Tribute #9.
I've increased the carb slightly on this batch...very lively! Still needs a bit more time to fully clear but it's nice all the same.

Don't normally drink on a Monday - but the wife's just told me we've chicken curry for tea, I've a day off tomorrow, so I'll call Monday Friday and crack open a bottle of Lager - Young's Harvest Lager - quite a nice drop, but I did make it too weak - 25L rather than 23L. But it's a good crisp beer with a light taste. But I will reduce the volume next time.

Just our of interest - does anyone use Nucleation glasses? I drink out of a San Miguel Glass which has nucleation points - and the beers bubble nicely, always with a good head.
