9 days in keg..first try of Nelson/Motueka NZ Pils...need a little more time to clear and crisp up a bit but this could be a new regular style to brew

Started a strict diet for holidays today, but I've managed to squeeze an 85 calorie glass of wine in 😅

I'm on a strict diet...at the moment it's chips,beer and rhubarb crumble.
By the way the rhubarb is off my plot and "forced" underneath a bin. Totally different to the normal sour stuff!

We have one over here, Pirate Life Pale Ale. Really should get a brewery going on Norfolk Island, though they are Australian they all have west country accents something to do with the mutineers of the Bounty, a lot of oo's and arghs.

Chicken Tandoori tonight and a Red Ale. The recipe was simple malt wise, just SM 40 Schooner malt (Super Munich dark)
"A dark Munich style malt designed as a single malt for dark amber beers. Aromas of toast, bread crust, and then some pretzel, brown sugar and toffee and a clean, yet rich sweet malt aroma and flavour with a medium body and dry finish work well in both Amber style lagers and ales"

One of the things I enjoy about retirement, more so in the summer, is a relaxed lunch with a beer in the garden. Todays pleasure is a Brie & Bacon banjo (with one slice fried crisp in the bacon fat 😋) and a Best Bitter.

That sanger looks divine!
